Design an Original Collectible Figure Card With CapCut

Use an AI figure generator brief for an original collectible concept. Separate character details from editable packaging text and check the card in CapCut.

Build the figure first and add the packaging words as separate text. This gives you a clear character concept and a card you can revise when the name or series changes. Start with one front view so you can judge the silhouette before adding a box or a dramatic camera angle.

An AI figure generator brief works better as a short design specification than a request for “a cool collectible.” For this example, the character is Moss Parcel: an original nonhuman courier robot with a teal pebble body and a little sprout antenna. The deliverable is a digital design concept with readable labeling.

Define the details that make the figure recognizable

Write down the features that must survive every revision. Keep the list visible while reviewing the image. For Moss Parcel, the six anchors are:

  • A rounded teal pebble body.
  • A cream oval face inset.
  • Exactly two black oval eyes.
  • One mustard yellow circular chest badge.
  • Two rounded teal boots.
  • One short antenna ending in two leaves.

The body outline and face matter more than a decorative background. Keep the first image front-facing with both feet visible. If the badge is hidden by an accessory, you have lost one of the checks that identifies the character.

The illustration highlights three anchors that are easy to compare at a glance; use the full list when judging your own result.

Generate the figure without packaging words

Open CapCut online on your Mac and enter the Design workspace. Describe the character in the AI Design panel. Keep the character brief separate from the card name and specifications so the first image contains only the figure.

Use the CapCut AI image generator to begin with a text description. Choose a front view and a plain background for this first pass. A landscape composition leaves space around the figure for later layout decisions.

A vague brief such as “Make a cute robot in premium packaging” leaves the silhouette, markings and words open to interpretation. A clearer brief names the features you will actually check. Here is the original example, arranged into readable parts:

Subject: Create one original nonhuman collectible figure concept. Use a small teal pebble-shaped courier robot with a cream oval face inset, exactly two black oval eyes, one mustard yellow circular chest badge, two rounded teal boots and one short sprout antenna with two leaves.

Composition: Show the full body straight-on from the front. Center the figure in a neutral pose with generous empty space. Use a landscape 16:9 composition.

Finish: Give the figure a matte vinyl-like appearance with soft studio light and a warm off-white background.

Exclusions: Keep words, letters, numbers, packaging, logos and extra props out of the image. Use an original fictional character design.

The generated front view below keeps the two leaves, cream face, circular badge and separate boots visible. The blank space around the figure leaves room for typography.

Before adding typography, compare the actual image with the six anchors. Count the eyes and leaves. Look at the badge outline and the spaces around the boots. A polished surface is less useful than a figure you can identify and describe consistently.

Keep the title and specifications editable

Treat the figure image as one part of the card and the words as another. In CapCut Design Studio, choose Text and click an empty area beside the figure. Double-click the new text object to replace the placeholder. Create a separate object for the name, series line and concept label, then adjust Font size and the text box width so whole words fit. Leave the generated image intact. This lets you change the copy without requesting a new character image.

Use this copy for the example:

Name: MOSS PARCEL

Series: Courier Series 01

Optional finish note: Matte teal concept

Status: DESIGN CONCEPT

The compact example card keeps the name, series and status; retain the optional finish note in the accompanying brief. The finish note describes the intended look of the artwork. Add measurements or material specifications only when you have established them separately for the project.

The diagram shows the division to preserve: character art on one side and independently editable words on the other.

Put the name first in the visual hierarchy, followed by the series. Keep DESIGN CONCEPT visible so the card remains clear when shared without the surrounding article. Use a plain high-contrast typeface and enough space between lines to distinguish each field.

Check the card at the size people will see

Reduce the card to the width where you plan to show it. Read the name first, then the series and status. If you have to zoom in to identify the name, enlarge the type or remove a secondary line. If the text competes with the figure's face, move it into empty space rather than over the eyes or badge.

Make one small copy change as an editability check: change Courier Series 01 to Courier Series 02 while keeping the figure image in place. Then restore the intended series. The artwork should stay fixed while only the line you selected changes. Keep the editable source as well as the final flat image.

In the finished example, the series was changed to 02 and restored to 01 while the figure remained a separate image layer. The final card keeps each field beside the figure rather than over its face.

Look for three different problems before saving:

  • A character detail is wrong: Return to the character brief and correct that feature. For example, ask for exactly two leaves while retaining the body, face and badge. Compare the new image with all six anchors because a revision can also affect details you wanted to keep.
  • A word is misspelled or cramped: Edit the text object. Shorten the wording or increase the space around it before changing the character art.
  • The card looks like a finished product listing: Make the concept label more prominent and remove unsupported production details. Keep the visual useful for discussing the design.

Save a concept image and a reusable source

Select the figure image and its text objects together, then choose Group. Use the selected group’s Download control to save the complete card as a PNG. Reopen the saved image. Check that the full figure, title and concept label appear together and that no text is clipped. Retain the original figure image separately, along with the editable CapCut project and its copy. Expand the group in Layers when you need to select an individual text object.

Use a descriptive filename that distinguishes the character artwork from the labeled card. When a collaborator requests a new series name, open the editable version and change the relevant line instead of rebuilding the character.

For another image task, use the AI image creation guides to choose the next workflow. Keep this card focused on its single figure so the design remains easy to review.

Frequently asked questions

Should I include packaging text in the figure prompt

Generate the figure without words first. Add the name, series and concept label as separate editable text so copy changes do not require a new character image.

Which details should stay fixed between revisions

Keep the silhouette, face shape, eye count, badge and antenna consistent. In this example, the two leaves and two rounded boots are also part of the identity check.

Does the concept image provide a printable 3D figure

Yes, the output is a flat concept image. Use it as a visual brief for a separate modeling and manufacturing process that establishes geometry, dimensions and materials.

How can I tell whether the card is still editable

Change one series line in the source while leaving the character image in place. Restore the original wording after checking it. Save that source alongside the downloaded image.
